SSI Course- Search & Recovery

Underwater search and recovery involves divers who locate and recover underwater objects. SSI's Search & Recovery Diver Specialty Course will provide you with an understanding of how to safely plan and conduct search and recovery dives. To enroll in SSI's Search & Recovery Diver Specialty Course, you must be at least 12 years old and Open Water Certified.

In SSI's Search & Recovery Diver Course, you will learn about specialized dive plans, how to recover small to medium-sized objects using specialized equipment including lift bags, search patterns, and underwater communication. You will complete the academic portion of the Search & Recovery Diver Course either through SSI's website or on your phone with the MySSI app. After you have completed the academic portion, we can schedule your pool time and open water sessions. You will earn the SSI Search & Recovery Diver Specialty certification after completing this program.

Please note that coursework (online books, etc.) is not refundable.  You will retain this material even if you cancel your training.
