Beginner Scuba Courses

We offer several different scuba courses for beginners based on your needs.

If you already know that you want to become a certified diver, choose either the Open Water Diver Course or Open Water + Nitrox Bundle Course. The difference between them is that the bundle course includes a second certification called Enriched Air Nitrox. This additional certification allows you to breathe with an enriched air as opposed to regular air, which offers a variety of benefits and considerations. Both of these courses require taking an online class and two full weekends committed to diving instruction in our onsite pool and local lake.

If you're not sure whether you want to become a certified diver and just want to see what it's like, check out the Try Scuba Course. For this, you'll watch a video in our classroom and then have one pool session with our instructor. It's an entry-level class that just introduces you to the basics so you can decide if you want to pursue diving any further.

Finally, if you used to dive once upon a time back in the day, but it's been a while since you've been in the water, then our Scuba Update Course is for you. This course enables you to review and practice the scuba skills you had originally learned during your Open Water Certification Course, regardless of whether you were first certified with SSI or with another scuba school. This update is often required for divers who want to continue their diving training after being away from the sport for a while.
