Stress in diving can be either physical or psychological, and both can cause accidents while diving and adversely affect rescue situations. SSI’s Stress & Rescue Diver Specialty Course provides you with the skills needed to safely deal with stress and handle emergency situations encountered by divers. To enroll in SSI’s Stress & Rescue Specialty Course, you must be at least 12 years old, Open Water Certified, and have proof of current training within two (2) years of First Aid and CPR.
In SSI’s Stress & Rescue Diver Course, you will learn how to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents, and effectively deal with emergency diving situations. You will complete the academic portion of the Stress & Rescue Specialty Course either through SSI’s website or on your phone with the MySSI app. After you have completed the academic portion, we can schedule your pool time and/or open water sessions. You will earn the SSI Stress & Rescue Specialty Diver certification after completing this program.
Please note that coursework (online books, etc.) is not refundable. You will retain this material even if you cancel your training.
