Diving in a dry suit allows you to comfortably explore cold underwater locations while protecting your body from hypothermia. Becoming a certified Dry Suit Diver opens up the possibility of year-round-diving as well as a variety of new dive sites around the world. To participate in SSI's Dry Suit Diving Course, you must be at least 10 years old and Open Water Certified.
In SSI's Dry Suit Diving Course, you'll learn how to dive safely and comfortably while wearing a dry suit. You'll learn all about the unique considerations when diving in a dry suit, including how to put it on, how to put on your scuba unit with a dry suit, how to use it, how to deal with emergency situations, and more. The academic section of the Dry Suit Diving class is online through SSI's digital learning system. You'll log in on your computer or download the MySSI app on your phone to complete the online parts of the course. You will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.
Please note that coursework (online books, etc.) is not refundable. You will retain this material even if you cancel your training.
