SSI Course- Waves, Tides & Currents

SSI's Waves, Tides & Currents Course is packed with useful information about water motion and its impact on your underwater experience. To enroll in SSI's Waves, Tides & Currents Specialty Course, you must be at least 12 years old and Open Water Certified.

In SSI's Waves, Tides & Currents Specialty Course, you'll learn the skills you need to safely conduct dives from shore, in currents, and different types of waves. The academic part of Waves, Tides & Currents is available online through SSI's website or directly on your phone through the MySSI app. Although a pool/confined water dive is optional, you will be required to participate in two open water dives for this class. You will earn the SSI Waves, Tides & Currents Specialty certification after completing this program.

Please note that coursework (online books, etc.) is not refundable.  You will retain this material even if you cancel your training.
